School Talk 27 - Regeneration II

Today we will talk about energy. The ways one can use energy. So we will use a familiar drawing, but we’ll possibly use it a little bit different. If we may, we’ll put in a little bit different things.

So we will draw what we often refer to as the living cycle, and we’ll also draw what we refer to as the vicious cycle. (from Marsha…I’ve placed the diagrams for the vicious cycle and the living cycle here ..... also look under Illustrations.)

Now we’ve spent quite a bit of time at various times talking about the vicious cycle. The vicious cycle starts off, of course, with a misconception. A misconception is always based on misinformation or lack of information, so we try to supply some information.

When you have a misconception, you have sooner or later; (usually much sooner) have a false feeling of emergency. Now when you have any feeling of emergency regardless of what it’s about, whether it is paying the bills this month, or whether it’s fighting with a girlfriend or a boyfriend or whether it’s some other catastrophe that occurs that we made important which really doesn’t amount to very much, we mobilize energy to fight or run. That’s putting it the simplest way possible. So if you have energy mobilized to fight or run and you don’t use it to fight or run, you just sit and worry about it and stew over it and rehash it a few times. But it requires some way to use that mobilized and unreleased energy, so an adaptation begins to take place. Now an adaptation can be either of two methods.

One is for good people—those are the ones that behave themselves and don’t go out and scream and kick or throw drunks or kick the cat out the back door or throw the husband or the wife out—they adapt with unusual cellular activity. X in its wisdom begins to use a certain group of cells in order to burn up this mobilized and unreleased energy. Now if those cells should be in the stomach; we probably come up with a nice little ulcer. If it should be in your back, you would come up with back aches, bellyaches, whatever. It doesn’t make any difference it might be in your knee joints--why you could have creaky knees. It doesn’t make any difference, but there would be some type of unusual cellular activity. Now any unusual cellular activity produces unusual sensation, pain, fullness, soreness, “achy’s”, “cracky’s” or whatever you want to call them. So there would be unusual sensation.

Now when we have unusual sensation, we have a misconception about it. For many years we’ve believed that it is a disease that has attacked us. The little guys named arthritis up there and there’s a whole bunch of them around there on the ceiling and they’re looking for somebody to bite on—a victim. They’re looking for a victim somewhere. So they light on and bite him—that’s our misconception--that we’ve been attacked by disease. Here I’ve been the nicest little soul and I haven’t done anything and it just come up on me. It attacked me.

Well, that gives a false feeling of emergency and then the doctor gives us the appropriate diagnosis, and we then get more false feeling of emergency. So with the false feeling of emergency, we mobilize to fight or run, but you can’t very well fight or run from you symptoms, they’re there. And, of course we mobilize more energy and there’s nothing done to use it up, so there’s more adaptation.

Well, after we run this cycle a number of times; we finally get tissue cell alteration or breakdown. Now we have pathology--a lesion. The doctor can find it; and now he says you’ve had it all these years--we just couldn’t find it. Now as long as this is called a “functional disorder” up here, you can run all the tests in the hospital and it doesn’t show a thing, you’re just fine. But finally the cells break down and the poor hypochondriac says, I know I was sick all the time, they just didn’t find it. So we go around and around this cycle.

Now the other way of doing it—the way reprobates adapt is by unusual behavior. Now, of course, none of us would use it, but you know, really, it brings less scars on the body. More on your reputation, but less on the body. You’re much healthier from the physical standpoint to be a reprobate. The reprobate goes out and get’s drunk and goes home and if dinner’s on the table, he refuses to eat a bite. If it’s not on the table, he raises hell. He kicks out the wife and puts the house cat out at night and all sorts of things. He really raises noise.

Now frequently you’ll see in the paper where some guy got on a rampage shot his ex-wife and kids and maybe her parents and maybe a few neighbors and they call it a mass deal. Well, that was mass unusual behavior but physically he’s fine, but they may be in a mess. They may be dead for all I know, but he’s all right.

Now I spent some time in a mental hospital, and I had the keys in my pocket, so I could leave when I wanted to. But none of those people were every sick—physically. They acted out all their stress--their chemical imbalance--from the mobilized and unreleased energy--they acted it out in unusual behavior. Now they have some very cutie ones, you know. They got lot of them in the mental hospital, but they never were sick. They never had a physical ailment--not a one of them had cancer--not a one of them had arthritis--not a one of them had ulcers. There wasn’t one of them had jaundice or anything else. They were just doing fine because they were working all their anxieties, their misconceptions and their false feelings of emergency along with the mobilized energy off as unusual behavior.

So now if you want to feel good, I highly recommend that if you don’t get rid of your misconceptions, that you, at least, change to unusual behavior. Now nobody sends you get well cards, and nobody comes to visit you or any of those nice things. You’re stuck with it, but you do get along pretty well. You’re not sick. So it is to a decided health advantage if you were going to indulge in all this stuff and not going to use the ideas we lay out for you, at least indulge in unusual behavior. Now nobody will send you a box of candy or a bunch of flowers or get well cards, but they will notice you. They will pay attention. You might wind up in jail. You might wind up in a mental hospital. You’re not apt to anymore, they don’t put people there, they say they joined the counter culture. So now you can be on the streets; but nevertheless, they have these kinds of things. Now you don’t have to go very far. You can go up here to dear little drab Mesa and sit on Main Street for a few minutes and you’ll see people indulging in unusual behavior. But they’re not sick. But most people who are being good do it this way (he’s probably pointing to the B-side of the picture of man….from Marsha). So you go down to the hospital and you see thousands, right? The places are jammed and they got some of them sitting in the hallways. The chairs in doctor’s offices are all full in the reception room. So it’s a fantastic business. Now obviously you don’t want all this information to get out, Robin, or it might ruin your business. You don’t want everybody to know about it. So we try to only let people know about it that won’t use it very much. So you don’t want the rest of them to get caught into the teaching ideas too much or it will wreck a medical business, is that right? You see if people begin to see that, they’ll get away from you.

Now we’ll talk again of the living cycle. We think you’ve all been exposed to this other one enough, and it’s about time maybe we could begin to talk about the living cycle. Now the living cycle is a renewing living being all the time. It’s based on conception. Now we’ve put the questions out here; what am I? Where am I? What’s going on here? and what can I do? Now are you reasonably aware of that? We’ve all been exposed to those questions, haven’t you? What am I? Where am I? What’s going on here? And What I can do? We find that we are privileged invited quests here at this beautiful estate called earth where life is the host and that there is a big party going on and and asking the question, “What can I do?”

Well, I can be what to me is being a good guest. Now we don’t have any big false feelings of emergency in that--In fact you don’t even have any interference to what you’re doing. Nobody catches on very much, so they don’t interfere with it. Nobody interferes with what to you is being a good guest do they Kathy?

(No.)

No, not a bit in the world. So you could go floating on just about as unconcerned as you please. So instead of false feeling of emergency, you have a true feeling. Now a true feeling is usually pretty delightful; and if there is truly an emergency, then you do something. You don’t just hang up there. You take a challenge and do something about it. But most of the time--a true feeling—a feeling that would be appropriate for the actual things that are going on around us would be one of being thankful—if nothing else. That would be about the lowest feeling you could get, wouldn’t it? For everything we do—the weather around us and everything about us—where we are and everything we’re doing and the people around. What could you do if you were looking at what is, seeing it as it really is--not through some misconception. You would have to be in a minimal state of thanksgiving, is that right? If you’re not awful careful, you’re liable to slip into bliss or some other higher state of being because these are some pretty wonderful arrangements we have here. So it is a true feeling. Now you mobilize energy for that little arrangement too, for feeling wonderful and for being thankful. You generate energy for that.

Now there’s not every minute that we’re going to go out and do something that would be expressing how thankful I am. Probably I’ll find some way of doing it, but we’re not going to run all over it to be out every minute.

So sometimes you have some mobilized and unreleased energy from an extremely nice feeling. Ok? You can have that quite often; and then, of course, there’s going to be creative action because there is nothing there to adapt to. You’re going to use this creative action. Now there’s more than one way to use this lovely creative action. One way to use that creative action might be to write a book. We might write a song. We might tell somebody a story. We might have somebody to feel good. We might laugh--just to be around somebody that’s in a state of thanksgiving and all the time really feeling good gives everybody a good feeling.

We tried it down here in the auction house. We were putting out a good feeling and everybody got to coming. They would just sit there and lah-dee-dah --t hey forgot that it’s a sales deal. We’re trying to sell something. They’re just feeling good and enjoying the show and sit there and have cookies and coffee and apple juice and wine. So you don’t have to move at all, it’s just there. So we finally found a way to handle that, we closed it. But we’re still not going to quit giving out good feelings.

Now sometimes we do go to cities and put on talks, and gobs of people come and a lot of times they have a wonderful time. But if you ask them ten minutes later, they tell you how much they enjoyed. I ask them what part of it did you enjoy the most—what ideas are you going to use. They didn’t hear a word--they just had a good feeling. So maybe that’s all we’re doing here today, but I hope you have a good feeling anyway, ok? You can have a good feeling.

So one of the things is we can do something. We might talk with somebody that’s down in the dumps. We might get somebody a good job. We might pass on a good word that we heard. We might tell a story that somebody would laugh about or be interested in, but we would do something.

Now what kind of behavior do you think would express if the person had the feeling of being very thankful. What do you think would happen to him? For one thing we’ve found in working with various people that it regenerates the body. Older people begin to look a bit younger. Sick people begin to feel good around those who are expressing a feeling of thankfulness. And if the person had been down, they begin to recuperate and put out new energy. There’s a renewing—a total renewing which you could probably call regeneration. I’ve noticed in one of the headings you’re going to write in the book was regeneration, is that right? And nobody’s going to regenerate unless they have mobilized a certain amount of energy on thanksgiving, on love, on joy, on peace, on bliss or some of those nice things. They won’t regenerate no matter how well you feed them, no matter how much you exercise them, no matter how much you counsel their little heads and everything else. They’re not going to regenerate. But if they have an excess of a feeling of thanksgiving, of joy, of love, of peace, of any other good nice feeling you want to come up with, then they will regenerate. They don’t have to use it all to go out and do something because sometimes they can hold it. And as the held energy, if it is from emotions such as anger, guilt, fear and insecurity--which mankind was never designed to have, and he has them anyway--he’s going to come up with symptoms either of the unusual cellular activity sequence or the unusual behavior.

Now we said you’d be a lot healthier if you did unusual behavior, but it may be dangerous. Somebody’s liable to be bigger than you are and put an end to that foolishness. So you don’t have to do either one because you have the creative one.

Now it does require certain attributes in order to do the creative one. In that, you would take charge of your own inner state. Now you take charge of that inner state (as we have been through many times) by the way you act. You can act joyful. It’s also by how you see things. Now you could see everybody as being “bad” and “grumpy” and “stupid” and about anything else, but it’s not to your advantage. But you could also choose to see these same people as living beings and doing and saying about what they feel is right, proper and justifiable with what light they have at that moment. So I can like them all, you know, they’re all wonderful folks.

I can find all manner of fault with them, but if I’m finding fault, I’m looking through a misconception. If I perceive them, I see what they’re doing is the best they can with what light they have. Now remember all people don’t have the same amount of light, the same kinds of experiences, the same kind of influences.

Now if we turn off all the lights in this room totally and completely; and I asked you to pick up three of those sheets of paper and staple them together in the proper sequence, you’d have to do a lot of fumbling. You’d have to do a lot of fumbling because you had no light. But if I even lighted my cigarette lighter, you could see a little bit. If I turn on the light in the ceiling, you could see it and you could do it with the greatest of ease. Now most people have been totally left in the dark as to the nature of being human and how that “being” functions. Oh yes, we’ve learned that he’s got a mouth to chew food and it goes in his stomach and churns around and then goes to the “duwatum” and mixes with some juices from the pancreas and gets a little juice from the bile duct; and if it’s running ok,all these things work fine. We’ve learned all that; but so what, we can’t do a thing about it. But we don’t observe how we see things. We don’t even notice how we respond. We don’t know a thing in the world about the vicious cycle. We don’t know anything about the living cycle. We don’t know anything about what we are, where we are, what’s going on here and what we can do. The biggest part of the world is in total darkness.

It’s called being asleep. Now none of those mean any particular thing except the person is not aware of what’s going on. So we try to furnish this material to make it possible that we can be aware of what’s going on and then we can begin to function.

Now perhaps a person could come up and see this and use it, perhaps some other things could happen. Let’s say that they were 65, 70 years old and were looking a little decrepit. Do you know people 70 years old that look to be in pretty bad shape, is that right? I know some of the 55 that look pretty bad too. I know some 30 that are in a hell of a shape. They look like they’re an escapee from a funeral home.

But if they begin to have their feelings put together and begin to see things properly, you’re bound to wind up with a feeling of what? You’re bound to be at least thankful. You’re bound to be more than tolerant. You’re bound to be understanding which we call agape or one form of love. Or you could begin to have people that you could really care for and be delighted to be with. You could be very thankful and you could be blissful every now and then according to the things going on. So then you’re energy is in an entirely different category and does an entirely different thing when it acts out, OK? So we could mobilize the kind of energy that we want to live with. Now what’s missing?-- as we said—a misconception?

A misconception is always based on the lack of information or misinformation. We’ve all been overfed with both. Now we’ve had a more than adequate supply of both—especially the lack of information and a great deal of misinformation. It takes a little bit of “guts”. I guess that’s as good a word as any, to turn against some of the misinformation we have been fed because it has been fed to us by those we have accepted as authorities. And we all have a little not “I” that says believe and do as you are told by your authority. So it frightens people very badly sometimes to look at this. They begin to say, “Well, what if?” And so they think they better run to the doctor and get their advise or run to the psychic and get the latest “poop” out this week and so on as to what’s going on. In other words, there is a great dependence on authority

One of the first things, if we are going to be liberated or be free individuals is to check the authorities—that’s the first, number one and foremost. If I have an authority then I will have conflict because there is some other authority that will say the authority I’m listening to is wrong. Everybody knows that, huh? You don’t believe it, you go to three different kind of doctors or even three of the same version and you’ll probably get some different stories. You go to two psychics and you’ll get two different predictions. Oh, not predictions—it’s they’re insight into the future. So you’ll have all this information laid out, but as long as you depend on one authority, you will be in conflict because the other authorities won’t agree. Nobody ever found two authorities that agree—really—unless they are working in the same office. And sometimes they’ll tell you on the side, “Well, I don’t really agree with that guy.”

So if we’re going to be free, first we have to be brave enough—I suppose that’s the way—or foolhardy enough, whichever word you want to use, to “go it” without an authority. You gotta go on without the authority. Now if I boot myself out, fine. Now of course, the authority tells me all sorts of things.

We’ve had the attorney general for an authority for quite a while. He says here “warning the surgeon general has determined that cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health.” I don’t know how he determined it, but now we have a new change coming up. We get a quarterly warning. Four times a year you get a new one that lasts for three months—nothing that mild. Really gets with it in telling you how it’s gonna be. Now that’s an authority.

Now I talk to people most every day on the phones who call from all over. They tell me what they’re authority has told them. A lady told me a few minutes ago that she had taken her husband to the doctor, and I suppose he was a hospital doctor They told him that he was not to eat anything except non-meat. That would be vegetables and fruit and most of that pureed. That sounds “icky” right off the bat. The man likes to eat—I know the old guy. And then she took him to a chiropractor and he told him he should eat nothing but steak. Now that’s a good combination of authorities. This chiropractor said steak is all right, but who wants to eat steak all the time. And then she went to another doctor and he said he mustn’t have any salt. She said, what do you say? I said let him have anything he wants, he’s going to die before long anyway so why not let him be comfortable while he’s at it. She said that makes more sense than anything. I’ve been in a turmoil trying to make all these things, and he’s all upset. He’s mad at me, and if I let him have anything he wants to eat…………….? I said “He’ll live just as long.” “He’s not going to live a few days anyway, a few weeks at the utmost.” “He’s about out.”

So you know, she said “I’ll just let him be comfortable while he lives.” I said “Well, if he dies two days earlier, what’s the difference.” If he dies two days later what difference does it make--so what--he’s going to go--he’s on his way out. But here she went to three authorities in one week, or maybe even less than a week—three days. Each one of them gave a totally different viewpoint of what the old gent should eat.

If you have authorities, which one are you going to believe? You got a conflict. So conflict is one of the major struggles that we all fight with. That’s the biggest misconception there is. So if you’re going to get along in the world first you dump all authorities, ok? There isn’t any.

There’s a few experts. If you want your car fixed, take it to an expert. He’ll fix it. But don’t think he’s an authority. And if you got something that’s wrong with the body, you figure what to do about it. And if you want somebody to do some mechanical work on it, get an expert, but don’t let him be an authority. Ok? How many of you have heard, “The doctor won’t let me….” Every day all day long. I say what’s he done—has he got a gun over you or something? Does he own you? Tell the S.O.B. to go to hell and do what you want to. You don’t have to put up with all that foolishness. What are you going to do? You going to be responsible? It’s your body.

(That’s right, it’s my body.)

It’s your body or at least you think it is. It may not really be yours, but at least you’re living in it, is that right? It’s the house you live in for the time being, and you’re responsible for it, right? Who are you going to listen to? You get caught up with… “Well, I can’t be this and I can’t do that because my doctor won’t let me.” My doctor won’t let me eat this. My doctor won’t let me eat that. The doctor won’t let me go on a vacation. The doctor won’t let me ride in an airplane. The doctor won’t let me do this—phooey. Who is he, you do whatever you want to—try it and find out. Now that takes what they call “guts”--I think. In New York they have another word for it, but nevertheless it takes your own being responsible, is that right? Now can you check out and see whether something is workable or not or do you have to have this lack of information and misinformation you’ve lived with all your life. Can you get along without it? You can drop that stuff, can’t you? Right away.

Now then you can start living in this living cycle. When you do, you’re going to revitalize, rebuild, rejuvenate, recreate you’re whole being whether it’s the body or your whole lifestyle or anything else—it’s going to be totally regenerated, rebuilt, huh? Now if you’re doing that, you’re using energy which flows properly. You’re determining the kind of energy flow you’re going to have. You want this stuff in here--this false feeling of emergency based on misconception and lack of information—that’s toxic stuff and man was never designed to have it. And all the pills you take in the world won’t counteract it. You could be told, well, it’s the biochemical disorder, but what chemistry you going to put in it to straighten it out—none. You got to get this straightened out so that your misconceptions are dropped by the wayside. Now everything to work at is to get the misconceptions out of the way, right?

Ok I’ve talked a while. Now let’s have questions, comments, discussions, refutations whatever you want. Tell me how stupid I am, that’s all right. What do we have? Who comes up with a word?

Linda, you here today?

(Absolutely. I’m all blessed out.)

Ok, I like you blessed out. Barbara, how are you doing?

(I don’t have any questions right now.)

Don’t have one. How about you dear?

(What if you make something important and you just keep on making it important and you keep getting false feelings of emergency.)

Well then, you have a misconception that something is important. The question was, if I’ll make something important and I keep on making it important—that’s a misconception—there isn’t anything important. There’s a lot of interesting things in the world; and if you have a misconception, you’re going to have all sorts of false feelings of emergency. You’re going to have all this stuff. You’re going to mess up your body and probably go this way, knowing you. You’re a pretty sweet child, so you would probably have unusual cellular activity, unusual sensation—the whole bit—mess up all the systems of the body and then you’d have that to fight with, ok?

Miss Kathy, you got anything to add on here.

(Yes I do. With the creative energy, I get a lot of it late at night.)

Yes, when you’re in bed so it’s safe, you won’t have to use it. Safe stuff, late at night so you won’t have to use it by tomorrow—maybe it will go away. It’s like the guy said he had a powerful urge to go out and paint a picture, he said, but I just sit still a few minutes and it goes away. So just sleep another two hours and it will all go away Kathy? Why not just get up and start doing it right then and there, ok?—2:00 am, 3:00 am

(I have.)

Well good, then it’s worthwhile. It’s ashamed you can’t have them except in the wee hours of the morning, but that’s all right, might have them in the afternoon or in the morning and its ok too.

Miss Robin, you have anything to put in here.

(Not really.)

Does that fit into your field of endeavor?

(Very much so.)

In other words, Robin works with troubled people. She fiddled around and talked to me too long and got caught up in that act and she’s out down there straightening out marriage and family relations and mal-eaters and the people that stuff it and upchuck, and ones that won’t eat at all. So she has all those good things going on. So you kind of know about all this, don’t you?

Ok, we’ll have another talk sometime in the next few days.
